The first half of this year’s summer vacation was to go to Seattle.
And the second half was to go to Kansai, West Japan!!
It is funny summer vacation this year indeed.
If I had known that I could take a summer vacation this year in advance, I would go abroad for a whole week…
Before I knew that, I planned to go to Kankai this weekend. (It is comparably easy to be absent just one day in Japan.)
And as soon as I knew that I could take a summer vacation, which was the middle of July, I bought the cheapest airplane ticket to Seattle.
This was the reason why I bought the ticket which transferred airplane in Incheon.
In this travel, I will go to Kansai famous cities except Kyoto.
I mean they are Osaka, Kobe, Nara etc.
I arrived at Itami Airport at around 11a.m.
After that I went to Himeji which is famous for ”White Heron Castle”.
When I went there 6 years ago, this castle was on the way to reconstruction.
This time, it became much whiter and brighter. 🙂
And it was very hot today, to go upstairs until the top of the castle was very tough work..
After that, I visited Kobe downtown area for a while and went to Hanshin Koshien Stadium.
This stdium is called “Mecca of baseball” in Japan, especially for high school baseball players.
And this stadium is also a home stadium of one of Japanese professional baseball team, Hanshin Tigers.
Tigers is really popular in Kansai Area, especially Osaka and fans are famous for their enthusiasm and royality to Tigers.
I’m not a fan of Tigers (actually I’m a fan of Tokyo Giants) but I’ve never been to this stadium so I have been wanting to visit there.
Even if Safeco Field might be more sophisticated but the night view of this stadium is also beautiful, isn’t it?
And at night, the temperature became more comfortable than at daytime. 😉
